Job description
As a shuttering joiner, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling wooden and metal frameworks, molds, and scaffolding used in concrete construction. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the structural integrity and stability of buildings and other structures.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the size, shape, and placement of concrete forms
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials made of wood, metal, and other construction materials
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures and scaffolding for concrete pouring
- Install reinforcing and bracing materials
- Operate hand and power tools to shape, cut and smooth materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a shuttering joiner or similar role
- Knowledge of carpentry and general construction principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
