Job description
A telehandler is responsible for operating a specialized type of forklift used to lift and move heavy materials on construction sites or in warehouse settings. They must have excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to navigate tight spaces while also following proper safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandler to lift and transport materials to designated areas
- Load and unload trucks or containers using telehandler
- Inspect telehandler before and after each use to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with team members to coordinate material movement and ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Valid telehandler operator certification
- Previous experience operating a telehandler or forklift
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and material lists
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
